Shell UK Limited has been providing scholarships for engineering students at Carnegie College since 2009. Without this financial support, many students would have been unable to accept places on their HNC, HND or degree level courses.

Kerrie Anne Crowned Scottish Painting and Decorating Modern Apprentice of the Year

In May this year, Carnegie College Painting and Decorating Modern Apprentice Kerrie Anne Yeoman (20) from Cowdenbeath was awarded first place in the Crown Trade Apprentice New Entrant Level of the Year and also gained first place in the Skillbuild Scottish Regional Heat at a competition held at South Lanarkshire College. Students Bravery Recognised

Student Bravery Award

This year the college has instigated a new award at the Annual Awards Ceremony– THE CARNEGIE COLLEGE COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY AWARD was presented to two young students who the College believed deserved recognition for their courageous actions – JENNA VARNDELL AND ALYSON DINGWALL. Both have been studying with Carnegie for 4 years, coming to college straight from school and have been described by lecturers as good hard working students and modest and unassuming in their nature.
